Hamilton Unveils New Khaki Aviation Pilot Auto 36mm and Day Date 42mm Watches
The Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot series, renowned for its presence on wrists worldwide, introduces two new models for 2024 - the Type B Flieger-inspired Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Auto. This latest addition includes four 36mm time-only watches and three 42mm Day Date models.
The Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Auto 36mm, the first of the two models, presents a smaller and simplified rendition of the series' core aesthetic. The stainless steel cases, measuring 36mm in diameter by 11.15mm thick, house flat sapphire crystals with double anti-reflective treatment. With screw-down display casebacks, these models maintain water resistance at 100 meters, matching their larger counterparts. The lineup comprises two bracelet models, ref. H76215130 and ref. H76215140, featuring brushed nickel-plated hands with black or blue dials, and two strap-equipped versions - ref. H76215850 with a silver dial and rose gold accents, and ref. H76245840 with a 4N rose gold PVD finish on the case and a blue dial paired with a pink leather strap.

Powering these 36mm models is Hamilton's Caliber H-10 automatic movement, a modified ETA 2824-2 exclusive to Swatch Group brands. Operating at 21,600vph, it boasts an increased power reserve of approximately 80 hours and features a Nivachron balance spring for superior resistance.

The second model, the Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Day Date Auto 42mm, is available in three configurations and represents an updated version of the brand's full-size double calendar pilot's watch. These models share similarities with their 36mm counterparts, featuring stainless steel cases measuring 42mm in diameter by 12.1mm thick. They include flat sapphire crystals with double anti-reflective treatment, display-style casebacks, and 100 meters of water resistance.
The trio of 42mm Day Date models, ref. H64635140 (bracelet version with a blue dial), ref. H64635550 (silver dial with a light brown leather strap), and ref. H64635560 (green dial with a dark brown leather strap), feature long rectangular apertures at 3 o'clock for day and date displays.
Running on the Caliber H-30 automatic movement, a modified ETA 2824-2, these models have a frequency of 21,600vph and a power reserve of approximately 80 hours.
Despite the size and functionality differences, both the 36mm time-only and the 42mm Day Date models are priced at $995 USD on a leather strap or $1,045 USD on a matching stainless steel bracelet. The Khaki Aviation Pilot series continues to be a cornerstone of Hamilton's core collection, and this latest release represents a subtle evolution of this enduring and popular design.
